Give an assortment of puppets and a puppet stage. With a few yards
of fabric and a couple of tension rods, you can construct a doorway
stage. Simply drape fabric over the tension rod, or sew parting

In your own voice, make an audio tape recording of a child's
favorite book(s). Be sure to let the child know when to turn the
pages.
Around the Blocks.
Give blocks, blocks, and more blocks: wooden blocks, plastic blocks,
giant cardboard blocks, magnetic blocks. To accessorize the block
structures for creative play, include small animals (farm, zoo, and
wild), cars, trucks, dinosaurs, and people.

If you are handy at sewing, make drawstring bags in a variety of
sizes for storing toys and other childhood treasures.
Old Time Fun.
Remember the Slinky, the Etch-A-Sketch, Lincoln Logs, Erector sets
and Tinkertoys? These classic toys, along with other favorites from
yesteryear, can still be found at many toy stores and department
stores.

A rhythm band set, a chalkboard and chalks, a tricycle, a dollhouse
